About Us

Our Mission

At InclusiveXplorers, we believe that all families should have the opportunity to experience the joy of travel. We understand that traveling with a neurodivergent family member can be challenging. In a 2019 study, IBCCES found only 13% of autistic families surveyed took family vacations, while 93% said they would consider traveling more if austism supports and services were available.

Headway is being made with more sensory and access programs, but much of the legwork still falls to caregivers. This is why we provide resources and support to make your travels both more accessible and enjoyable. We are dedicated to providing helpful information,  and creating a welcoming community for all families.

About Us

We are Hayley & Jake, two teachers with two littles for a passion for travel.

Hayley started her career in aviation finance which gave us the opportunity to travel frequently (thanks non-rev benefits!)  before she returned to her first passion, teaching. Hayley studied history, economics, and curriculum and has taught elementary and pre-school, mainly in the art room. Jake has taught at all levels with a diverse background from Special Education to Gifted to STEAM. We have a combined twenty years in the classroom!

School calendars also give us the flexibility to travel for extended periods in the summer. We are part-time Tuscans and love exploring the hidden corners of Italy and Europe as a whole. We recently moved to Morocco for work at an international school.

We are a neurodivergent family and know that this can add a layer of challenges to hitting the road. But we believe that travel is for everyone regardless of ability or budget, whether near or far!
